The following states have enacted legislation explicitly permitting or facilitating the process of having past marijuana convictions expunged, vacated, or otherwise set aside. In some states, the review and expungement process is performed automatically by local jurisdictions. In other cases, those with past convictions will need to actively petition their officials for an expungement.
