Cases of the EVALI illness were more than 40 percent lower in legal cannabis states and over 60 percent lower in jurisdictions that permitted home cultivation.
Researchers recommended “against reliance” on per se traffic safety law, which they said lacked any scientific basis.
Investigators reported that participants’ tic symptoms improved within one week of treatment and continued to improve over time.
Researchers concluded, “The majority of patients in our study felt that medical cannabis was equivalent or superior in efficacy to other medications.”
