Current cannabis use was “consistently associated with smaller waist circumference, lower BMI, and lower risks of … obesity in patients with chronic HCV infection.”
Authors theorized that more frequent consumers were more tolerant to the effects of cannabis and also engaged in more compensatory driving behaviors.
“Extending our results to other states, we find that medical cannabis legalization has reduced auto insurance premiums by $1.5 billion in all states that have currently legalized,” authors concluded.
