Three states (Washington, Colorado, and Oregon) will be deciding on full legalization of adult use, while three more (Massachusetts, Arkansas, and Montana) will be voting on medical cannabis measures. 1. It’s time to wake up and admit you’ve been lied to, duped, conned into falling for the old bait-and-switch.
Big Pharm companies want to keep you tied to their sick dependence!
End the witch-hunt on our Creators’ wonderful gift to humanity: Marijuana

  2. This is one of the most important elections in our lifetime. These three states are taking the logical steps forward in addressing our economic, health, and social policies. We are truly in the final days of prohibition, my friends!

Warm thanks to NORML for helping us “stay up” on these political issues in real time!

  3. Im a hard working man who lives in wv who has never commited any crime broke any laws but still our government holds me with a felony for selling a little pot when i was 20 years old and im 37 now first time was ever in trouble and last but still cant vote or own a gun its. Bull shit i never hurt anyone have a good job make good money cant smoke pot on my. Own time because of drug testing its bull shit. Because i need it for my depression anxiety panic attacks and to help me sleep its sad dont wont to go to a doctor just to get put on a bunch of pills when all i need is a natural drug like weed that has never hurt anyone but its ok to take pills that kill people every day and destroy lives

  4. I am very hopeful that CO and WA will pass their respective bills. And if the federal gov’t tries to interfere, those two states can take their respective cases to the Supreme Court, and hopefully win. But I hope the Feds stay out and let these states serve as laboratories of democracy, and soon the rest of the nation will follow suit.

  5. Im from washington st and the dispensaries are tell people out here to vote no they got my friend who is a MMJ patient thinking he’s getting striped of his rights , either way I voted yes my wife too

  6. Greetings from New York! I’m glad to see something finally being done about this prohibition! Smoking marijuana is frowned upon here and you are labeled a “scumbag”. Not only will this vote impact the drug laws nationwide but the public view of how marijuana really “is”. The majority of New Yorkers belive it’s an evil drug that ruins lives, and only junkies could dare try it. I hope to see the REAL facts about marijuana released to the public eye and hopefully see a change of opinion in such a conservative state!

  7. The Medical Marijuana Dispensaries are making tons of money.
They have a good thing going and want a monopoly on the market.
That is why they are telling people lies, to scare them to vote AGAINST legalization.

F*** them. There should be no monopoly!
    Vote YES!
    FREE CANNABIS! !!

  8. I hope the other states fall like domino’s like they did when booze was re-legalized.My life depends on it as I am chronic pain patient on 480mg’s of Oxycontin daily which gave me cyclic vomiting syndrome and a weight loss of 170 pounds in 1 years time.Cannabis truely saved my life.

  9. Jeff,
I couldn’t have said it any better myself… It’s just like a bully in school…once a few people stand up to him, his effectiveness as a bully is compromised and very few remain scared of him. The same will happen in this country (said with confidence) after tonight!

  10. I know it will be awhile for us here in Georgia, to the point that I voted for Sunday alcohol sales today, but if support is all I can give now, then have it. I hope today marks the turning point in the battle against prohibition.

  11. bring it tonight and vote green.
the whole wold is watching you.
if you end it the rest will follow
    greetings from germany

  12. We’re watching in Canada, hoping that our backward thinking govt will see the change happening! Good luck you guys!!!

  13. If one just one of these states goes legal. I am seriouly going to think about selling all my stuff. you know house, wife, kids, etc…. and moving the hell out of the bible belt!

  14. Can anybody list the various bills in the different states so we can keep track of how they are doing?

  15. Cannabis will change the world and tonight is a huge stepping stone. All the propaganda bullshit that we’ve been hearing for 75 years will slowly dissipate and the truth will prevail. People that don’t already know will learn what an amazing plant this is and how it was so ignorant to stigmatize it and it’s users. People will ask why this wasn’t done years ago and we will say, “This is what we’ve been trying to tell you all along.” Crime will drop because alcohol consumption will drop. And as a result, fatal car accidents will drop in number as well. Alcoholism will drop. Health care costs will drop. Prison population will drop. People will be happier. Communities will benefit in ways that we may not even be aware of yet. Illness and disease will diminish in numbers that few thought possible. This plant could literally save us. This world is gonna be a better place and all the naysayers will be proven ignorant and closed minded. Get ready. It’s happening. Thank you CO, WA, and OR. A million thank yous to you. LET’S DO THIS!

  16. good luck to all with like mind~ great job to all of those who have put this issue to vote this election! I know it was very difficult but thank you and again~~~ GOOD LUCK GOOD VIBES! AMERICANS~ *DONT PANIC~its organic

  17. “Casual drug users should be taken out and shot” – Darryl Gates (Chief of LAPD & US Senate Judiciary Committee) A prime example for change, i hope for the best i voted for Gary Johnson!

  18. Wanted to smoke tonight and celebrate in ohio but I have a bad cough. So two brownies will make me feel much better. My girl is drinking, and I’m so glad I’m not! It’s so odd because so many people over don’t here don’t even realize what you’re doing over there tonight. What you’re doing is changing and creating history for all mankind. This is a day of epic proportions. I’m so $%&*ing excited I can’t stand it!

  19. I hope this will set a presedent for all the other states .And hopefully Indiana will be one of those next in line ,since it was not even presented or looked at because so conveniently time ran out.

  20. I am about to make a REAL SERIOUS request for ANYBODY in the postion to do so, I have had 2 buiss in the past but I do not believe that i can get a lic to be a MJ grow wholesaler due to 2 felonys 20yrs ago, I will still try to find a way anyway here is the request to free us of the FED! BS! Get your wholesalers Lic Rent a HUGE warehouse and grow the sht outa it and then proceed to charge the LEAST you can as a non profit, ONLY sell to the locations that agree to keep the price down and we will and we can get the PRICE low like it should be! this stuff dosent cost alot to grow if done right and we SHOULD NOT play into the new cartels hand (gov) by charging as much as we can get the free market only reduces prices sooo much in any buiss there is alot of greed lets change that!!!

  21. I live out in PA and even though we didn’t have this option I played my part in being a part of the phone calls. This is such a huge important topic (meaning cannabis). Time to wake up, face facts, swallow the pride and move on to new and better things!

  22. What’s the word on these initiatives to totally legalize? Would out of staters who are of age be able to carry or buy?

  23. truth trutH truTH trUTH tRUTH TRUTH!

PILLS, ALCOHOL, AND CIGARETTES ADVERSELY EFFECT LIVES AND WEED DON’T!

look at the pesticides applied to tobacco. SOME OF THEM ARE RADIOACTIVE! MAAAANNNYYYYY ingredients are illegal to dump in landfills.

We have the RIGHT to Life, LIBERTY, and the pursuit of Happiness!!!!!!

  24. LEGAL IN COLORADO AMEND 64 YES 52.27% NO 47.73 IT PASSED FIRST STATE TO LEGALIZE GOOD TO BE IN COLORADO ON THIS ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH

  25. Wow. Arkansas is a lot closer than I ever would of expected. 20% of the vote is in, and it is 52-48. I thought marijuana would have no chance. Even if it doesn’t pass, this is definitely a positive step in the right direction. People are waking up nationwide…legalize it

  26. Yea for WA, CO, and OR. I hope it passes. It is time we quit sending our young sons and daughters to prison for essentially nothing. I pray for drug law reform everywhere! When ya’ll gonna help us in Texas???

  27. Im tired of taking pills for my back pains from my shingles. I live in New York i hate taking drugs that just make me feel sick and with withdrawals. I have a job, go to school, and sometimes i just cant get a good night rest. I hope all ballots pass this is the umph that this country needs to legalize it and tax it and liberate all those weed felons out of jail and go out for the Murders, Rapist, All VIOLENT OFFENDERS. Weed Dont Kill, People + Guns Do!!!

  28. The number one most useful plant on the planet. Food, clothing, shelter, energy, medicine, insight, re-creation.

  29. Many thanks to norml for liveblogging this, I’m looking forward not to a country painted blue or red, but green!

  30. It looks like every single marijuana bill PASSED, or WILL PASS! Is anybody ready for a sea-change in the laws regulating marijuana? Is anybody ready for a little FREEDOM and JUSTICE for a change?

  31. This is how alcohol was legalized, at the Federal level, after prohibition. It came one state at a time, until a LOT of states legalized it, and the Feds had to give in. Yay! It may be happening, right NOW!

  32. 11 Responses by the time I post here, on historical changing news.

You’re page is way too complicated and cluttered to get to where you can actually discuss the topic. You guys need help, I work cheap.

  33. Greetings from Philadelphia!
It is a great news. I have many years of experience using herb and can say it is good for your health and absolutely safe.

  34. Y’all are doing the happy dance now, but just wait till you see the sticker price/ tax on your meds. Say bye to all those lovely dispensaries and affordable prices.

[Editor’s note: Medical cannabis laws, as stated in the initiative language, under the passage of I-502 do not change.

BTW, since the current state medical cannabis law does NOT allow for sales…patients in WA are paying prohibition-based pricing. After cannabis can be sold and taxed, patients can and will likely seek them out for price and choice, which is a good thing for patients and society. Patients going to illegal sellers is a worse alternative for them and society.]

  35. Any hope for Texas legalizing it to?it will probably take care of many issues with drug trafficking on the borders.
