Montana voters will decide this November on two complimentary ballot measures seeking to legalize marijuana for adults in the state.

The Act permits those age 21 or older to possess up to one ounce of cannabis and directs revenue from retail cannabis sales to fund various public education and safety programs.
Majorities of Democrats (78 percent), Independents (63 percent), and Republicans (57 percent) back the 2020 ballot measure.
Sixty-two percent of likely general election voters “believe that marijuana should be legalized for adult use in the state of Arizona.”
In a July 20 e-mail update, proponents New Approach Montana posted: “The campaign to legalize marijuana … has cleared the signature hurdles to see its two initiatives on the ballot in Montana’s general election.”
Activists gathered at the state capitol in Lincoln to turn in over 182,000 signatures from registered voters in an effort to qualify a medical cannabis legalization measure for the 2020 ballot.
