New Jersey: Voter Support Solidly in Favor of Marijuana Legalization Ahead of Ballot Initiative Vote
Seventy-two percent of Democrats, 65 percent of Independents, and 56 percent of Republicans expressed support for the ballot question in the latest poll. Overall, only 29 percent of New Jerseyans opposed the measure.
According to the survey results, some 70 percent of respondents back Initiative Measure 26 — which establishes a medical cannabis access program — and some 60 percent of voters support Constitutional Amendment A, which legalizes the adult-use marijuana market.
The Nebraska Supreme Court issued an opinion this afternoon finding that the initiative’s language violated the state’s single subject rule requirement.
Nebraska voters will decide this November on a statewide ballot measure seeking to legalize and regulate medical marijuana access in the state.
