Since 2020, more than 139,000 commercially licensed drivers have failed mandatory drug tests for cannabis – more than the total number of test failures for all other substances combined.

“This bill respects the will of the states that have legalized cannabis and allows them to implement their own policies without fear of repercussion from the federal government,” Rep. David Joyce said.
“Neither marijuana nor THC can lawfully be possessed, handled, or dispensed by any DEA-registered pharmacy,” the letter states.
The States Reform Act repeals the federal prohibition of cannabis and provides resources to assist in the regulation of the state-licensed cannabis industry.
“The presence of a dispensary has no significant impact on local crime in the average neighborhood,” the study’s authors concluded.
The total is an uptick from last year’s figures, but represents only a minority of financial institutions nationwide.
According to one analysis, health-related costs per user are eight times higher for drinkers of alcoholic beverages than they are for those who use cannabis, and they are more than 40 times higher for tobacco smokers.
