“Regular 3-month application of the emulsion based on cannabis sativa L. oil considerably reduced inflammation, erythema, pruritus, and scaling of the skin,” investigators concluded.

Researchers said the study’s results indicate “widespread noncompliance” with state and federal laws.
While delta-8-THC and delta-9-THC were the most frequently identified synthetically derived cannabinoids, investigators also identified highly potent novel cannabinoids such as THCP and HHC in nearly one-third to one-half of products.
Judges ruled that the 2018 Farm Bill “expressly permit[s] states to regulate the production of hemp more stringently than federal law.”
Investigators concluded, “The daily application of topical hemp seed oil improved knee pain, physical function, and perceived knee stiffness.”
“The rate of ∆8-THC exposures reported to poison control centers was significantly lower among states … where cannabis use was legal,” the study’s authors concluded.
“Consumers are unwittingly consuming contaminated products,” researchers reported.
Federal: House Committee Approves Amendment Barring Production of Hemp-Derived Intoxicating Products
The amendment targets products containing cannabinoids that “are not capable of being naturally produced” by the hemp plant or that are the result of a chemical synthesis.
