Boston Freedom Rally Kicks Off This Saturday At High Noon

East Coast’s Largest Marijuana Freedom Festival Expects Record Turnout

Boston, MA:  Nearly 100,000 people are expected to show their support for ending marijuana prohibition at this year’s 13th annual Boston Freedom Rally taking place this Saturday at the Boston Common in downtown Boston.  The event, sponsored by MassCann/NORML, will feature several bands and speakers, including state gubernatorial candidates Carla Howell (Libertarian Party) and Jill Stein (Green Party), U.S. Senate candidate Michael Cloud (Libertarian Party) and NORML Executive Director Keith Stroup.

Stroup, one of ten NORML board members speaking at this year’s rally, says, “There is no more appropriate place than Boston, home of the original Boston Tea Party, to demand our political leaders stop arresting responsible marijuana smokers.”

Past Mass/Cann festivals have drawn crowds exceeding 75,000 people – making it the largest annual pot law reform event on the east coast and the second largest in the nation, exceeded only by the Seattle Hempfest.
