New York, NY: A majority of registered voters believe that marijuana should be legal, according to nationwide polling data commissioned by Fox News.
Fifty-one percent of respondents said that they favored "legalizing marijuana." The figure is an increase of five percentage points since Fox commissioned polling on the question in 2013. It is the first time that a majority of respondents have favored legalization in a Fox News sponsored poll.
Democrats (62 percent), men (56 percent), and those under the age of 35 (54 percent) were most likely to favor legalization. Republicans (36 percent), those over the age of 65 (39 percent), and women (46 percent) were least likely to favor legalization.
