The percentage of people entering treatment primarily for cannabis use fell some 20 percent between 2020 and 2024, the last year for which federal data is available.

Researchers determined that cannabinoids provide “faster sleep initiation,” “longer sleep duration,” “improved nighttime sleep continuity,” and better overall sleep quality than do control treatments.
The use of cannabis in proximity to school grounds or on college campuses is now defined as a felony offense, punishable by up to one year in jail and hard labor.
“Evidence suggests that both illicit and medical cannabis may alleviate symptoms, even in refractory cases,” researchers concluded.
“These findings suggest that cannabidiol may represent a promising therapeutic option for patients with refractory burning mouth syndrome.”
Twenty-five percent of adults between the ages of 30 and 49 now say that they “smoke marijuana.”
Self-identified Trump voters and Republicans were the only groups approaching majority support for the ballot repeal question. However, only eight percent of Massachusetts voters are registered Republicans.
Veterans between the ages of 50 and 64 are 44 percent more likely than non-veterans to consume cannabis. Veterans between the ages of 65 and 80 are 33 percent more likely.
