The CounterCulture
Poem #3
Defeat ’em
I want to share a story with you,
One that involves us all.
Happens to be about marijuana,
Boy do they have some gall..
They tell us this They tell us that,
We all know the hype.
We also know they’re full of it,
And that is why we gripe.
No medicinal value eh?
We all know better than that.
We’ve all seen the studies,
That proves they’re full of crap.
And how bout recreational use,
They say its just so evil.
Then they want to punish you,
With laws that are so medieval.
Theres so many other uses,
But thats just not the point.
Because all that we really want,
Is to kick back and smoke a joint.
They have no good reason,
To ban mother nature.
Or to treat all of us stoners,
Like despicable little creatures.
They lock us up they pin us down,
To us they have no right.
Therefore we must demand of them,
To stop this f***in fight.
This country needs to legalize,
Its the best thing we can do.
The entire planet just the same,
For us as well as you.
So join us now and help us grow,
To a size they wont believe,
for we are The CounterCulture,
We’ll bring them to their knees….
Thats good shit Maynard. Lol
Yea what’s up in So Cal??
hey i dont see anything for iowa
Pray for the central Pennsylvanians! We struggle to celebrate this glorious holiday as I’m sure many other rural area residents do. Being that Pennsylvania is not quite ready to make any IMMEDIATE moves on legalization, when the lovely green gets to our area it’s so inflated in price no one can get their amount they need and function in society without being in a vicious cycle of living paycheck to paycheck . A prayer is all I ask! Happy 420 to all and may all your needs be met !
Can you smoke at this event?
America is opening its eyes.
Speak up! Be counted.
Support NORML, contact your representatives and make known your voice-
in politics and surveys, and key opportunities.
Remember, that, frankly, counter-productive statements only damage the movement.
Please speak clearly, and concisely, use spell checks and other tools.
We are on the verge of making this work. Wisely do you part, I ask you.
Also – do not be fooled.
Obama has sat hidden away from the real world of his blinded voters.
He has admitted to smoking AND inhaling, (that was the point)
He has been found to be a Choom gangster toker, (and bogart, as expected)
yet, he has been completely silent where he could have defended, even slightly, the matter.
I understand that, being the first ‘black president’ he couldn’t just go ‘yeah! legalize it!’
as that would have, some how, spun into a mess – BUT he could have used his top-notch speech writers
and his impressive ability to roll the words off the teleprompters
and spoken in favor of ‘rational thought’ on the concept-
he could have FOLLOWED THROUGH on his own statements of ‘letting states handle medical marijuana’ laws-
but instead he was either silent, or worse, behind the walls the public sees.
Now, not only open your eyes, and look into these things, (and others),
but realize that, unless I am wrong, when this finally kicks over
he will pull a 1-2-3 combo.
And start to mention:
– a rational approach
– see its not that bad
– I am one of you guys!
And he will try to clinch the celebrity status he craves
with the now, appareant, pro-cannabis crowds.
Do not buy into his lies about this-
and do your homework on him, and all others that you would support and back.
He is a celebrity, not a leader.
After careful deliberation, really, I respect the mind of Charlie Sheen over
our so-called ‘leader’
Keep your eyes open.
Use your mind.
Support NORML.
And don’t bogart.
😉

Nice poem Mike. About says it all.
Just a note to let everyone know I received a reply from my Rep this week, Michelle Lujan Grisham, 1st Dist. NM.
Tho I suppose it could be called a form letter, she does seem to address my specific points; and the letter does appear to have actually been typed, on congressional stationary.
Anyway, in response to my request that she support, or even introduce, legislation that says the Fed. govt. should recognize state law regarding mj legalization, she wrote:
“Thank you for taking the time to contact me about legalization which would reform federal marijuana law and provide states with the ability to regulate it.
“Under current Federal law, it is illegal to distribute, regulate . . . (etc) Even so, many states, including NM, have laws to provide patients access to mj for pain management . . . (etc) Currently, there are several bills that are intended to resolve the differences between federal and state laws in order to ensure patient’s rights are respected and protected.
“We need to close the disparity between state and federal govt mj laws, and protect states that have moved forward to protect patients. I support the rights of states to allow for medical mj, and I will be reviewing mj legislation with your views in mind. . . . ”
So, it seems Lujan Grisham definitely supports med mj in the state; and it seems she’s open to finding ways to make the fed and state laws regarding med mj compatible. She seems a bit cautious about outright recreational legalization–as do many others–but at least does not seem to be opposing it outright.
We’ll see.
Just wanted to share that with you all.
Now I have to contact my state rep, a Repub., and see what he has to say.
Good work, Evening Bud
hey, I need some help on a project and i would like your guys prospective on the legalization of marijuana
Thanks, James
to Ben
Thanks brother
I have been a RN for 25 years. And I personnly feel that this country as a whole the government has taken so long to wake up to reality because of lies fed to them by studies run by FDA and pharmaceutical companies feeding them information favoring man made prescription drugs over natural means in fear of all the money the pharmaceutical companies will lose when people no longer need their pain killers and muscle relaxants and numerous other medications that in the long run will eventually kill your kidneys and lived and some even cause spinal stenosis. If it weren’t for ignorance I could still be able to tolerate working
I explained to my wife on how marijuana will help our states on finances and our country ( mind you she is extremely logical thinking) and she actually has no objections. Cuz the farms will employ to grow and harvest which is income and the dispencaries will employ for medicinal use which is money for the employers and its all in the name of the patients. So our economy in the long run will actually gain revenue state by state. So it wont be a war on drugs but a war on our deficit. So patients get thier alternative medicine and our states and country get revenue on the farming and dispecaries. (Unless im wrong and if so pleasr correct me) charleshunt05@yahoo.com. Im for this fight against “drugs” let me kno your with me i gave my e mail. (Probably not wise but i believe in this cause)
