The Nevada legislature advanced measures amending marijuana penalties for minors, rescinding per se driving thresholds for THC, and permitting consumers to obtain cannabis products via curbside pickup.
“This bill is a cynical effort by prohibitionists to severely roll back a policy that has been in place for two decades and that a majority of state residents support.”
The new law will take effect once regulations are established, in which regulators have until March 1, 2022.
House Bill 652 reduces the penalty for the possession of up to 14 grams of marijuana to a $100 fine only.
