“For decades, tens of thousands of Connecticut residents have faced arrest, prosecution, and the lifelong stigma associated with marijuana criminalization, simply for possessing a substance that is objectively safer than alcohol, tobacco, and many prescription medications.”
While there would be no possibility of jail time under the bill, these offenses would still be classified as misdemeanors.
Assembly Bill 341 allows adults 21 and older to purchase and consume adult-use cannabis products on-site at any licensed “cannabis consumption lounge.”
