Prop 19: Support Legalizing Marijuana In California

If you haven’t heard, California’s Control & Tax Cannabis campaign just got assigned the proposition number 19.

That’s why, today, we’re asking all NORML members and supporters to step up and chip in $19 to the Yes on 19 campaign. Help California become the first state to legalize marijuana today!

In the last few days the NAACP of California and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson (R) have endorsed the Yes on 19 Campaign.

Celebrate the Fourth of July’s independence and patriotism early by donating $19 to the Control & Tax Cannabis Campaign!!

  1. Im supporthing this.. i was soo hoping we get assign number 20… 🙁 yes for (4) 20.. killer slogan.. 19 will work too.. :/

  2. hey Norml, is this the same Gary Johnson that went on the Colbert Report and did a 30 minute section on why he is going to LEGALIZE once he WINS PRESIDENCY in 2012? if so, i think we need to point this out, get the agenda out to right hand conservatives and such so we can get the campaign going for Mr. Johnson for President in 2012

  3. Do we have solidarity ?

I haven’t heard from The ACLU, imagine 19$ American dollars stands between cannabis, Justice and Freedom.

I place my Trust on the millions of voting citizens in California.

    YES

A YES that will Ring the Bell, that can be heard throught this planet.

  4. Okay everyone – I just donated my $19 to the campaign. Now I ask that all of you do the same. I’m not a rich guy but I am serious about helping to get cannabis legalized! So please donate even if it means skipping a meal or not buying the latest DVD… I think we will all have a major reason to celebrate when California becomes the first state to legalize. I’m in Virginia and am hoping that we could be next in line… Probably not though…

  5. Bay Boss,

    How about:

    “Vote 4 19… if you’ve got a minute” 😉

    har har har

For reals though, already donated to the cause and am spreading the word on FB too. let’s DO THIS! 😀

  6. I donated $19…I also donated the same about a week ago. Lets all watch how Cali gets it legal! Then it will spread like wildfire!

  7. Great prop for Cali, donoting money regarding it is the dumbest fuckin thing ive ever heard.

[Editor’s note: OK…keep supporting prohibition, arrests, prosecutions, incarcerations, forfeitures, etc…talk about “the dumbest fuckin thing ive ever heard”.

  8. I hope cannibis is legalized in California but just wait I betcha all the bully prohibitionists will really start throwing big fits…clever little headgames, they think they’re so mighty! Has anyone heard how Washington’s signature gathering has gone? And Oregon has a dispensary measure on the ballot…

  9. Scott Meacham – I think most of us believe that if we can help California legalize, that other states and maybe the whole nation will follow. Don’t you think it’s worth it to try to sway the vote in favor of legalization??? Please give what you can afford and help us out here!

  10. excellent posters brybam i donated and am making tshirts and yard signs. get ready for the massive propaganda that will emerge any time now

  11. MOST PEOPLE DON’T UNDERSTAND THIS: IF CALIFORNIA LEGALIZES POT SO WILL OTHER STATES.

THAT’S WHY ALL AMERICANS SHOULD BE SUPPORTING CALIFORNIA RIGHT NOW AND NOT BOOBING OVER THEIR OWN STATE LAWS.

WAKE UP AMERICANS ALL OVER, SEND MONEY, VOTE OR DO BOTH!!

  12. I will of course donate. Although it would be nice if NORML could please tell us how effective the money we donated on 4/20 was. I would like to see how much good that did before I shell out more money (I’m sure it did a lot of good but I think it would be only proper for NORML to tell us what our own cash has done)

[Editor’s note: Less than $5,000 was raised from NORML’s 4/20 fundraising effort, the money was forwarded to the TaxCannabis2010 campaign and they’ve likely spent the donation many times over on their current and clearly very active campaigning efforts in CA.]

  13. Please do get out that vote! Also, all republicans – if you vote yes for cannabis and also vote for Meg FREAKIN’ Whitman, you are effectively NEGATING your vote! I cannot stress this enough! She emphatically states that she is ANTI-MARIJUANA, and she is planning to BUILD MORE PRISONS! Do your research. New Jersey is an accurate model. Christie will do everything he can to thwart the will of the people! VOTE WISELY PLEASE!

  14. One more thought. Jerry Brown’s “stance” against legal cannabis is more a product of political cowardice (Barbara Boxer too) and not ideology. He/they still think we (cannabis nation) don’t have the “energy” to back up a stand. We DO, don’t we?!
Meg Whitman is a NEOCON ideolog, and she will pander to the worst of the right-wing nanny-state hypocrites who plan to imprison you while discussing it over martinis and cigars.
The more we come forward intelligently, respectfully (hard to do!), and passionately – the more we infuse political cowards with a reason to do the terribly long overdue RIGHT THING! LEGALIZE!

  15. Yeah! Go Cali! Any news on Washington State legalization efforts yet? I will be moving there from this horrible state called Georgia later this month.

  16. A lot of American patriots have paid much more than $19.00 for freedom and liberty in this country. I wish I could donate more. GARY EARL JOHNSON FOR PRESIDENT 2012!!!!

  17. Currently abstaining from buds so I don’t have to worry about pre-employment drug tests as I look for a better job. Donated $19, I think we can make this happen.

  18. donatin tomorrow don’t see a paypal account but will find a card

Dennis hopper waterland :savor the flavor of…

    Freedom

this is one step to becoming all the United States of America we can BE

  19. IT is INSANE that people are rotting in jail over marijuana. Each and every politician who does not support the legalization of marijuana should be voted out of office.

  20. Gary Johnson 2012, PROUD liberty candidate 😉

It will be so very interesting to see how Obama handles Cali when prop 19 passes. Should clarify how serious he was about hope and change. Come on Obama, prove me wrong buddy, I know you are not as evil as Bushie but you sure are looking a lot like him these days, especially with your precious military and your big government corporatism.

[Editor’s note: Governor Johnson has been invited to speak at NORML’s national conference in Portland, Sept. 9-11.]

  21. I am curious whether or not Prop. 19 really goes far enough. Currently, as long as one has a license they can possess more than one ounce. Also, Prop. 19 will basically make it illegal to even smoke (medically or for recreation) within a certain proximity to your own kids, schools, etc. I’m definitely for legalization/decriminalization of cannabis and I realize that such legislation is a compromise in the sense that it doesn’t “go too far” for all those socially conservative voters, but I don’t think it goes far enough. It might just be another marijuana reform bill that is as ineffective as those passed in New York during the 1970s and that were intended to not put so many people in jail for possession of small amounts (and yet over the last 30-40 years arrests for small possession have gone up in New York). Also, why nothing in the bill about legalizing industrial hemp?

[Paul Armentano responds: First, Prop. 19 in no way amends or undercuts existing legal (medical) protections in California. Second, hemp is marijuana. The measure would allow local governments the option of licensing the commercial production and distribution of cannabis, including low-THC hemp varieties, if they so wished to.]

  22. (reposted from DailyPaul)

How to win over conservatives on the war on drugs.

Don’t cower. Be tougher, more authoritative, and more masculine than them. If you can’t do that you won’t make any progress. See Barry Cooper here on FOX for an example, just telling it like it is and showing no intimidation:

    Barry Cooper on FOX News

  23. It’s about Time that a State has the Cajhonies to Legalize THE plant. Big Pharma will fight tooth and nail over lost profits…I hope Every Cali Resident votes yes and see how long the Fed.’s want to say it’s just a few Potheads that support it. 10 Million have been arrested since 1965, One Trillion dollars wasted on a futile attempt to eradicate and 55%of Federal Prisoners in for drugs. No wonder were broke! Everyone should just light up and see if they can put us All in Jail if it fails to pass.Protest dispensaries who oppose for financial gain. The experts (AMA) support it as Sched. II. Were supposed to “Listen to the Experts”, I’d say Dr.’s ARE experts in this area.

  24. Yeah though I walk thru the valley in the shadow of crooks I shall not be afraid, thy Bong and thy Bag comfort me and leadeth me to the still waters. Surely goodness and Mercy will abound and we will be free of the Fed who casts stones for gold, they are Judas and we are David who will defeat the beast they send to destroy us.

  25. If hemp is marijuana why do they sell hemp protein? Is it because you can’t get high from it? So your saying I can fail a drug test by taking hemp protein and get fired from work well thats bull.

  26. This is an uderfunded campaign, and I, an unemployed, underfunded supporter. But I am registerd to vote and vote ‘yes’ I shall. Please do the same. I could never figure out the unreasonable phobia that people have of polling places. Especially when people with the most ridiculous opinions regarding all other matters have no fear whatsoever of voting their opinions.

  27. Has anyone actually read the bill yet?? Whats going to happen to PROP 215 patients? Would we now be restricked to this 1 once of cannibs MAXUIM allowed to be in a persons posession?? This sounds like a step back not forrward to me…..the bill also states that you must be 21 and you cannot smoke cannibas in the presents of anyone under 21 or you are breaking the law…. Thats crazy many of my fellow prop 215 patients are under the age of 21 and if im to smoke even in the same residence as them i am to fear the law could catch me and arrest me for my crimes!?!? I am confused still as to prop19 and how it will affect me and other patients that grow strickly for there only medical use….I dont want to be tricked into voting for something that is really not in my or my fellow prop 215 patients best interest…..Is anyone a Lawyer and has actually read the bill and can understand it better then me? if so inlightin us more on the subject i know id like to know what im voting for and so far from what ive read im voting NO……and i Volunteer at a local collective so im certinly not against cannibas and taxing it but i am agaisnt being limitid to ONE OUNCE i mean how does one even grow just one ounce id have to grow one plant and not take care of it to do that LOL geezz… Further more what will happen to dispensary’s and collectives? will they be forced to pay thousands for permits to cultivate and sale cannibas? just like alchole giving out only a curtin number of permits per county and once those are sold you must wait to buy someones elses permit to sale and culitavte and thats if you can afford it?? EVERYONE else will be limited to 1 plant in there closet? LOL???

Atleast now we can grow 6 plants without fear but ONE OUNCE?? I hope im reading this bill wrong and it wont effect prop 215 and 420 patients. I Pray it only effects people that arent pateints becuase if not i think its ALL BAD. And i will Vote No but if i find out its all GOOD ill Vote YES and Ill donate 19 bucks aswell..Please someone convience me im WRONG thats what i want…

[Editor’s note: 1) Have you actually read the initiative (it is not a legislative bill)? The initiative language specifically mentions medical cannabis patients NOT being impacted by the passage of the initiative. 2) Use a spell check as such poor writing undercuts your concerns and credibility.]

  28. Here’s my $19. Florida is behind you California. We believe in you. We have faith. The truth is that repealing prohibition is the only answer to the “drug problem”. We could, also, really use the money in taxes. That’s what killed the prohibition on alcohol. Imagine a day when farmers grow a clean bloodless crop, and our country is brought out of the abys of decay and decline with the taxation of a product that reduces pain, aids in sight, quells cancer patients nausea, and makes people happy.

  29. What about people who are currently in jail for marijuana possession? Will Prop 19, if passed, do anything to help get them out of jail?

  30. I donated $20.04. From PA…. Big Pharma and the wealthy aren’t going to be happy with not getting a piece of the action. Don’t be cheap…send the $19.00. $20.04 seemed more appropriate. It will be hard for the Fed to stop it IF it passes. All States should be allowed to vote via Referendum. Then we wouldn’t be waiting on cowardly Lawmaker’s. Smoke it up regardless. What are they gonna do with all of us>Lock us Up???
GOOD LUCK CA!!! The Nation waits on your vote. And depends on it!

  31. Wonderland….. they’d have to release them depending on the circumstances. Since ’65 10 Million were arrested for weed, and one Trillion wasted since ’37. Look up Drug War Cost Clock on Google. That’s an eye opener.

  32. Please, this is funny, the people are not going to vote this up. The right wing can afford to fly to Alaska to get high with friends legally, I cannot believe I actually wanted to fly to Holland to get high! If the people really wanted this it would be a non-issue. I want it, but I’m a schizophrenic and cannot tolerate the paranoia much. Our bodies our minds our business period is my motto, screw those who only think drugs are bad, drugs in our culture make us who we are, make us more human. I wish Calif. had the balls to pass this 19 innitiative but alas who would fill up all our expensive jails?

  33. You have my full support Cali. Up here in Montana there’s often not many things that I find that I have in common with California but this is one of them. Fifty billion dollars a year wasted because some people like to smoke joints is ridiculous. Time to end the cycle of racism and ignorance. We have California to thank for medical marijuana, hopefully I’ll be thanking them for legalization for everyone in the near future.

  34. #43…you can’t fix Stupid, even with marijuana. The Admin. showed you to be the mindless Idiot you are, in One sentence. This is the type of Person we have to deal with in Pennsylvania. They Just make excuses to keep wasting taxpayer money and denying Factual information that it has medical benefits, despite the Institute of Medicine saying that it in fact does. Pain receptors in the brain act with Marijuana to reduce pain and help with myriad ailments. They lied to Outlaw marijuana and they keep lying to keep it illegal. The AMA, (the experts) we’re supposed to listen to, want it classified as Schedule II and never wanted it outlawed. Most of the people who reject marijuana legalization have never used it, so their opinion is based upon the fabricated (propaganda) reasons to “Just say No”. It was legal when Ronald Reagan was a child. Isn’t that Ironic? CA, a grateful Nation awaits your “Yes” vote. You have the support of Tens of Millions and you will be Hero’s if you can get the law passed;and the rest of the Nations foot in the Door of Idiot Lawmakers who take money from Big Pharma.

  35. Interesting reading, I will donate today. Unfortunately I live in a state that thinks marijuana is a sin and therefore people who smoke it should be locked up(so they can be properly trained in real criminal activities). I do have a question? Is there
any organized opposition the prop 19? That will be the key to passage. If a group comes in with lots of money for TV scare ads it will probably be defeated… In my poor conservative bible belt state that is usually what happens to our props. The group with the most money for TV usually wins regardless of the merits of the prop.
    Good Luck

  36. “We’re on a Mission from God” We Don’t need no stinking Badges. This time too many people are in it. If California goes, so goes the Nation. Plus we have truth and Facts on our side. What are they gonna run? An AD that says, “Just Say No”, nobody believes their bullshit anymore. Everyone knows its lies. its like the one that “pulling your Thingy makes you go blind”, it works for a while and then you know you can still see, some people see better. Don’t sweat it. The Fed will be too busy to worry about us “hippies” if Prop 19 passes.

  37. lower taxes legalize marijuana
by Sprout (not verified), August 14, 2010, 12:56pm
Soon after marijuana is legalized, Thousands of dollars will be saved as there will be no need to arrest someone with it, provide that person with a public defender, feed that person sandwiches in jail.

Maybe than we can go one day without hearing about the states budget troubles, and for goodness sake lay off some of these dead weight cops and state workers.

Marijuana will always be treated like alcohol in the work place, some employers will terminate you if your intoxicated and others will smoke with you, it depends on your line of work.

Marijuana smokers were alienated in the 1960s and they were treated like idiots, that is one of the reasons it got smoked behind closed doors and privately people were afraid to be thought of as a pot head druggie and that will happen again in the future and it will cause a great decrease in the daytime use of pot, just hide and watch.

Everyone needs to stop thinking that the laws in this country control drugs etc, most people in this country are competent and able to decide what is best for themselves and for their lives, look at smoking cigarettes everyone did it in the 1950s it was cool but now that people know its deadly it has a much smaller group of users, and its legal! it just faded away and its not cool anymore.

Pot is for a select group of people and for the most part they seem perfectly normal while intoxicated, its the people that normally dont use it that have adverse affects and than think is bad for everyone, like other legal drugs some work well for some people but not everyone, for instance some people are allergic to penicillin and it could kill them dose that mean it should be made illegal, hell no it helps millions of people.

I am very upset at people that categorize pot with other drugs like Heroin, Meth, etc MARIJUANA WILL GROW AND REQUIRE NO PROCESSING OF ANY KIND JUST PLANT IT WATER IT AND USE IT FOR YOUR NEEDS AND WANTS ITS NATURAL AND ITS ALMOST FREE.

    Well thats my opinion

  38. Its about time that we realize that weed is a plant that grows in the ground if it wasnt wanted it wouldnt be around. Think of all the things that grow naturally and the great effects they have on the body everything that grows is usually good for you. It has a purpose for medicinal or just for the pure relaxzation to free your mind. Never heard of a group of people killing cause they smoked a joint,or someone overdosing on pot or for that matter even getting into a car to run a light and kill someone(like alcohol). The government has to stop putting people in jail for this nonsense it doesnt kill it helps. There are people that rely souly on selling pot whole communitys that the profiters spend there money on government taxed items that eventually help the economy. Its a win win situation. Legalize the shit already it will help. everyone.

  39. I have asked a relative in Folsom,CA about this topic and she seems indifferent. Here in PA the House and Senate have introduced Legislation, the House has had 2 Hearings. The second time Doctors and Law Enforcement testified. Despite nearly 80% approval for Medical use, the PA Senate refuses to take the time to hold Hearings. This is a States’ Rights Issue and you’d think that the “Limited Govt” tea baggers would support it, but they just stuff cotton in their ears and repeat Propaganda. I hope CA realizes this would eliminate most of the Black market and make it more difficult for youth to obtain it. The Tax revenue would help Every State, but Lawmakers are afraid to appear Soft on “Drugs”. Marijuana is Safer, so why do we drive people to drink? Vote Yes and you’ll see less crime and violence associated with booze as people would be allowed to use Marijuana without the fear of life and career ruin.

  40. you and your affiliates are all for YES on prop 19. but dont you care about the citizens that will suffer from the proposition? i am an ill 18 year old medical marijuana patient who has been to many dispensaries and cannabis events, like the peace expo at golden gate park a couple weeks back. i was going pay money for two golden tickets to participate in today and tomorrows cannabis and hemp expo. but prop 19 discriminates against the 18-20 age demographic. it makes it so current California medical marijuana patients 18-20 unable to purchase the medicine they need. what about me? do you not care that what your supporting makes it so that Californians 21 + can use marijuana for recreation but Californians 18 – 20 can not use it for medicine. if your organization is FOR informing the public then i demand you inform them of this information too. if your going to educate, you cant pick and choose. i trust that YOU will be the voice of my age demographic and state your opinions on the matter. if you think that we are a small loss for a big cause, YOUR wrong. its wrong to deny an ill patient of their medicine, and thats exactly what prop 19 suggest. please message me back or email me @ staymedicated215@aol.com

[Paul Armentano responds: Your information is incorrect. Prop. 19 does not amend or undermine the medical protections of 215/SB 420. Prop. 19 is specific to non-medical patients. As you are a patient, your legal protections under 215/420 will continue unabated after Prop. 19. Please get your facts straight before posting.]

  41. Im going to cali! Uh, uh. Im moving to cali! Uh, uh. Ya, it is about time a state legalizes this natural, harmless plant. If only the feds would legalize and tax, we would all be in a better mood. FIRE IT UP!

  42. I think that the legalization of pot, might be a bad thing. thay are allready out of control with the narcotic prescriptions. if you need something to help you get better, the health care boosts the price. but if your leg hurts, they give you 2 years of vicaden. i also think they are doing that to keep us sheepeople at bbbaaaaaaayyyy. so the legalisation of pot may be more smoke and mirrors, to pass our freedoms away. i have allways been for the legalisation of pot!!! but now i’m more worried about my freedom!!!!! By the way I found a website that give you prizes for your opinions and 4 play games here is the topic about legalize pot:
    http://opinion.ezwingame.com/topics/should-california-vote-in-favor-of-legalizing-weed

  43. EVERYONE NEEDS TO QUIT CALLING MARIJUANA A DRUG IT ISNT A MAN MADE PRODUCT LIKE COKE, CRACK, PCP, LSD, PILLS, HEROIN, SPANK, SPEED, AND YES MAN MADE ALCOHOL. EVERYONE NEEDS TO REMEMBER THAT MARIJUANA IS A HERB AND HERB ONLY SO STOP USING THE WORD DRUG ITS SO WRONG OUTTA OF CONTENTS IT NOT FUNNY POT DOESN’T KILL PPL ALCOHOL KILLS PEOPLE PILLS KILL PPL HEROIN KILLS PPL PCP COKE CRACK YOU ALL AND OVERDOES ON AND CAN KILL YOU I RATHER HAVE MY KIDS SMOKE POT BEFORE DRINKING ANY DAY CUZ ALL THOSE MAN MADE STUFF WILL KILL THEM FASTER THEN POT EVER WILL AND TO SAY POT KILL BRAIN CELL IS PROPAGANDA THE SAME LAME THING THEY BEEN SAYING FOR YEARS AND YEARS AND YOU KNOW WHY IT A FIGHT AGAINST THE HERB SO THEY CAN USE OUR TAXES DOLLAR TO FIGHT FOR THE CART AIL AND DRUG DEALER TO KEEP ON WHEELING IN BIG PROFITS OFF THE HERB AND IT TIME TO PUT IT ALL TO REST AND LET THE GOVERNMENT TAKE IT OUTTA OF THE DEALER HANDS IT TIME TO STAND UP TO GOVERMENT AND PUT ALL OF THE LYING TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO ARE AGAINST TO REST ITS EVERYWHERE TODAY I CAN FINE SOME IN 5 MIN THAT HOW RAPID IT IS I LIVE IN A STATE THAT DOESNT EVEN ALOWWO IT FOR MEDICAL USE SO REMEMBER IT NOT A DRUG IT IS A HERB GET RIGHT PEOPLE ITS SO LAME TO CALL IT A DRUG WERE MAN MADE DRUGS ARE WAY MORE HARM FOR YOU EVEN A BOTTLE OF ASPIRIN CAN KILL YOU THESE DAY AND IT IS MAN MADE WEED IS A HERB ISNT MAN MADE SO THAT FACT IS TRUE QUIT CALLING IT A DRUG YOU PEOPLE WHO ARE AGAINST SHOULDN’T EVEN BE IN POLITICS YOU ALL NEED TO BE SHOT IN UR EFFORT TO MAKE IT FAIL DEATH TO YOU ALL WHO SAYS NO

  44. elizabeth, do you drink alcohol? I Bet You Do. I don’t. I don’t like it and never have.My Father was alcoholic. I used marijuana as one would use Booze, to relax, before I was injured and found it Did Help with pain.In School and College I used Marijuana and Graduated in the top of my class and made the Dean’s List, so it doesn’t make you dumb either. I Love to hear these lame arguments against a Plant that is incapable of overdose and helps people with Many different ailments and has for 10,000 Years. Our own Government has a Patent on a Marijuana Variety, so don’t embarrass yourself and make claims you can’t back up with facts. In the ’30’s Anslinger said it made you Bloodthirsty and Crazy. In the ’60’s they said it made you a Pacifist.??? Which is it Now?
There are Thousands of reports done on Marijuana and the ONLY downside found is Smoke, which can be Overcome by using a Vaporizer that doesn’t burn the cannabis. Vote YES CA. The rest of US Depend on You to break the Glass. Did you see the guy light up on HBO’s Bill Maher last night??? That was Cool. Lenny Bruce, the comedian, got locked up for cursing, but I didn’t see Cops rush in to Bust him last night.

  45. Jesus said the people cast outside Heaven are “those who practice sorcery.”[Rev.21:8]
The original Greek word means, “The use of drugs and spell giving potions.”
God’s Word says, “The acts of the sinful nature are obvious…sorcery [this Greek word
means “The use of drugs”]…I warn you that those who live like this will not
    inherit the kingdom of God.”[Gal.5:20,21]

  46. The Lancet, a British Medical Journal has recently reported that Alcohol is the Most Dangerous drug, surpassing Heroin and cocaine and other Drugs as being the most harmful to the user and to Society as a whole, based on the Health problems and Violence associated with Alcohol. Most who Oppose Marijuana drink Alcohol and then claim you won’t enter the Kingdom of God in Heaven if you use a Plant put here on Earth by the Creator? It is even mentioned in the Bible as being used in the anointing oil of Jesus. Grasping at Straws now using Fear, must be a Conservative Republican Jesus Freak? Marijuana has been used for 10,000 years with No Recorded Death associated with its use, EVER. Aspirin doesn’t have the same record, it kills people, but I don’t see calls for Aspirin to be removed from shelves and was FDA approved based on Anecdotal Evidence that it worked. Try that argument with Marijuana and they say MORE Studies and wasted time and Money are needed. Screw the Federal Government and let them use their LIES about marijuana. Make them try to use more Lies to stop the will of the majority, they look more Stupid every time they repeat Propaganda refuted by Science and divorced from reality. Vote YES CA.

  47. Jesus also probably said, “Idiots Doth Vex Me” da, like you have any clue about marijuana. More like DUH! Are You High??? Some of us use it as Medicine and need less Narcotic Pain pills which ARE Killing Us. Go preach your B.S. to another crowd. Ya Looney………..

  48. @64 – You freaks crack me up! Can anyone really be stupid enough to believe your comments? First, I don’t think your interpretation of the bible’s words are correct. Second, the bible is just a book. I has no more truth in it than any other work of fiction. If God was real, I’m sure the human race would be of little concern to so powerful a being. He surely wouldn’t care if we self medicated. Give me a break and get yourself a life – one based on reality!

  49. Those who oppose Prop 19 care little about Facts. How did the Bible even get into this Discussion?? God wouldn’t want people suffering, maybe that’s why he gave us the Marijuana Plant? Today we will see if People are Serious about Prop 19. I am confident that cooler heads will prevail and Marijuana is Legalized in CA.
