Starting today, and for this week only, if you join NORML as a “Basic Member” you can get your choice of two limited edition vintage NORML conference posters.
NORML memberships are the lifeblood of the organization. This will allow us to continue to bring you the most comprehensive, up-to-date information on all things related to marijuana law reform across the country and to continue to be the leading advocate for policy change in America.
There is a limited supply, and stock is running out fast! If you sign up for a regular membership, you get both posters to show our gratitude. Join NORML today and get your own piece of NORML history.
Everyone should check this out. I apologize for using this blog to let people know about this link but don’t know any other way to do it…

I BELIEVE NORML.ORG TO BE THE BEST MARIJUANA REFORM WEBSITE ON THE INTERNET! I HOPE EVERYONE SUPPORTS NORML FOR THE “REAL FREEDOM” IT STANDS FOR, NOT JUST FOR THE FREEDOM TO USE MARIJUANA BUT IT’S USE AS MEDICINE, HAPPINESS, RELAXATION, CONSTITUTIONAL AND INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS THAT OTHERS DON’T UNDERSTAND. PEOPLE THAT USE MARIJUANA ARE MOSTLY SEEN STEREOTYPICALLY AS BEING STONERS, LOSERS, ABUSERS, LAZY, ADDICTS AND JUST ABOUT ANY OTHER FORM OF DISRESPECT UNEDUCATED PEOPLE CAN THROW AT YOU. WE MUST EDUCATE THESE PEOPLE AND HELP THEM UNDERSTAND THIS IS WHAT “WE WANT AND NOT THEM SO THEY SHOULD RESPECT OUR WISHES AS WE DO THEIRS!
I HAVE AN IDEA WE CAN ALL DO TO HELP OURS AND OTHERS CAUSE, ESPECIALLY SICK PEOPLE IN NEED OF THEIR MEDICINE! MY IDEA IS AS FOLLOWS.
EVERYONE SHOULD MAKE A POSTER ABOUT NORML.ORG AND ERECT IT IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD, ON THEIR STREET, ALONG SIDE A SAFE HIGHWAY ETC. IT SHOULD READ AS FOLLOWS;
NORML.ORG > in green letters.
WAKE UP AMERICA
REAL FREEDOM IS AT STAKE
Or this could be your own idea about norml.org
For now just a message board http://www.network54.com/Forum/676513/
I was thinking about forming a club in cowlitz county WA and involving my town of Castle Rock WA, Longview WA and Lower Columbia College.
I own and run a 501c3 dog registry at aapba@aapba.com but as you already know I can not mix the two.
We have already people to talk in behalf of medical marijuana but they are not organized.
I think I can organize them.

i’m from nepal..’wanna like to work with NORML
Kevin # 3,
FACT
…………and there are many of those who comment on NORML’S blog who pretend to be pro – marijuana to trick, fool and decieve you .They are really just the opposite . They intentionally mispell words, etc. so people who read these posts actually do think that people who use cannabis are stupid,
stoners, lazy, abusers, addicts and more .
THEY ARE DECIEVING THE MASSES .
Example ;
Yea marehuna is a OK drug . it releaves me of my pane becuse i was in and accident four yeers ago and have seveer pane in my back . Its better
and safer den drugs you kan buy at yer drugstore .
Legalies it !
DO NOT BE FOOLED .
@9, 10: I’ve come to the same conclusion; about the pretenders… These are people who want for cannabis prohibition to continue but know that we’re not really stupid stoners. I suspect some of them are put there by Govt or Law-Enforcement personnel and I find this deceitful and pathetic! Everyone should be aware of this practice and come to understand that evil forces, not true believers in cannabis law reform, are behind them! Seriously – DO NOT BE FOOLED!
I would like to see a NORML article addressing this in the future if any of you have the inclination to write one. These pretenders should be called out!
EVERYONE PLEASE JOIN MY WEBSITE. I ONLY HAVE 2 PEOPLE SO FAR. NEED FRIENDS FROM NORML TO HELP ME.
haha its a huge conspiracy! The feds have a special undercover task force that infiltrates comment sections on pro marijuana websites to misspell words and destabilize the stoner population!!! AHHH!!! Hey i heard they had a new task force to put crazy conspiracy comments on the boards too!!! WATCH OUT!!!!!!
Cool posters tho, dont know that i’d call 2008 vintage….but cool posters 🙂
The two posters shown above represent talent and imagination, but I have one criticism: they seem to embody the “stoner” myth in that they are full of glittery surrealism to meditate on but have little connection to anything practical– such as extended-family housing construction, carpentry such as shelving for everyone to keep their stuff on without blocking others’ way, organic farming, reforestation work– activities which manifest the creative ENERGIES released in a user for a beneficent purpose.
Architect/city planner Daniel Burnham said an elegant expressive diagram will live forever. If toked-up postermakers can provide schematic drawings showing how to make something useful, such as a compost bin, a bicycle-trailer, a sleeping loft, a rack for storing salvaged scraplumber pieces trimmed and ready for Creative Reuse, I think that would speak well for NORML and win some friends in the work-a-day world of families and pro-environment cooperatives.
Don Post #11 You call the posters pretenders…I call them shills. I have no doubt that the government and vested interests will go to no unspeakable lengths to demonize cannabis. I am not sure if the posters that mispell or have faulty sentence structure or thought processes are shills but the prohibitionists have their own agenda. Dibz ….Don’t think for a minute that there are not things going on out there that are not above board. Marijuana. The only thing wrong with marijuana is the law. Change the law!
@ # 14 maxwood – yeah, that’s just what I want in a poster about pot – a schematic drawing on how to make a compost bin. But seriously, you are hilarious!
Hey @16 joad,
Little Gypsy @15 has really answered you– the prohibitionists are always trying to depict “pot” users as unconcerned and oblivious. Full of s hrill (shill?) laughter and dismissive of anyone who dares to get serious about anything.
I’ll admit the type of drawings referred to above include ones I have made myself after a couple of gentle 25-mg tokes of sifted bud in a 5.5-mm-diameter screened chillum with a 20-inch flexible drawtube. Those drawings (including ones of single-toke utensils) are a work in progress and anyone and everyone is invited to surpass them (or turn them into the appropriate pro-family carpentry described in my first post).
peace maxwood, but wouldn’t putting out a pro-pot legalization poster that just told you how to make shelves seem to miss the point?
@ Joad and Maxwood: I think that the ultimate point is that just because someone uses marijuana, it doesn’t mean they are incapable or doing intelligent things. In most ways, marijuana users are no different than those who don’t use. We have the same life goals: make money, take care of our family, pets, belongings, further our education, care about our health, and are against terrorism… Just to name a small few…
I also believe that most of us want to be supportive of our country in spite of the fact that many of those currently in power would have us arrested for our choice of recreational drug or self medication.
One huge difference between us and the anti-marijuana crowd is that we believe in our rights and that they are being trampled upon. We have all experienced predjudice from un-enlightened minds. And we have all chosen to disobey the law against marijuana since we all know, deep in our hearts, that is is a bad and unjust law.
@ 19 Don – You are so thoughtful and well spoken. You didn’t misspell any words. You can’t possibly smoke pot. But actually I agree 110%. Why it is even illegal in the 1st place i cannot fathom. America once was free (at least in this regard) and I hope it will be again.
@Joad: Actually, some of the smartest people I have ever known endulged in a bit of cannabis now and then… In fact, some of the smartest people I am aware of have used it: Carl Sagan is my personal hero in this matter!
